Sizing
Which size to choose
The romper is cut roomy through the body so it layers over a vest. If you are between two sizes, take the larger — babies grow through a size faster than anyone expects, and a little length at the cuff is easily turned back.
| Size | Age | Height | Weight | Chest (flat) | Body length |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0–3m | Newborn to 3 months | 50–62 cm | 3.5–6 kg | 44 cm | 52 cm |
| 3–6m | 3 to 6 months | 62–68 cm | 6–8 kg | 47 cm | 57 cm |
| 6–12m | 6 to 12 months | 68–76 cm | 8–10 kg | 50 cm | 63 cm |
| 12–18m | 12 to 18 months | 76–83 cm | 10–12 kg | 53 cm | 69 cm |
Buying as a gift?
Take 6–12m. It is the size most often missing from a new parent's drawer, and it buys them a few months before it is needed.
Measuring at home
Lay a romper they already wear flat and measure across the chest just under the arms, then from the shoulder seam to the crotch. Compare against the table.
Will it shrink?
Pre-washed cloth, so expect no more than 2% after the first cold wash. Dry flat rather than in a machine and it will hold.
